How to read a registration record

Each card above is one registration in the Karnataka RERA dataset. Large developments are registered phase by phase, so one project name can appear several times, each with its own registration ID, status and completion date. Match the ID of the phase you are looking at, not only the project name.

  • Status: shows whether the record is approved, revoked, withdrawn or transferred, as held in the dataset on the date we checked it.
  • Stage: shows whether the project is a new launch, ongoing or completed, as filed.
  • Not a listing: a record does not say a home is for sale, what it costs or whether a brochure is for the same phase.
  • Always confirm: open the record on the Karnataka RERA portal before you rely on it, because we do not re-verify records live.
